Day 26, Harvest

Mark says he’s waited a year to harvest with Gia, and today’s the day. I’d seen the process of harvesting on videos, and I knew it was hard work, but only by experiencing it firsthand did I begin to understand that it’s REALLY hard work. Especially in the hot sun. Definitely rewarding to see the crates begin to fill, but lots of bending and sweat. When we were done, Mark may have been thinking of the delicious wine that was to come from our labor….
