    Day 33, Celebrating the Vine

    Purely by happenstance, our winery tour at Vini Franchetti was during the winery’s celebration of the end of the harvest. And what a celebration! Music, tons of food, toasts, dancing, skits, lots of wine😎…. Instead of just bystanders, they treated us as welcomed guests. When we left several hours later it was still going strong. Undoubtably the highlight of our time in Sicily - we will never forget. 🌟🌟🌟
    Another winery tour - I Vigneri - was spent with Teresa, who taught us so much about the challenges and rewards of growing grapes on the slope of a volcano.    Read more
