    This travel lifestyle has a certain allure, and as we continue our journey, the idea of securing a long-term sponsor is appealing. With this motivation, we set out in search of a spare oil rig, believing that if anywhere could offer such an opportunity, it would be here—the birthplace of commercial kerosene and oil production.
    Oil pumps are a common sight, dotting the landscape and even appearing in people's yards.
    We also found gas burning naturally and bubbling mini mud volcanoes, formed by escaping gas. Even the local art has a hydrocarbon theme; ancient rock PETROglyphs and modern works using crude oil.
    Alas, no McCoubrey black gold identified, and the penguin is moaning about Caspian oil spills on his flippers, so we are heading to a mountain spa.
