Kars

While in Kars, we visited the nearby once thriving city on the Silk Road. Ani was one of the world’s largest cities but sacked by the Mongols, then hit by an earthquake in the 13th century, the city eventually fell off the trade routes. This interesting archaeological site verifies Dad’s wise saying ‘Nothing lasts forever.’
