baku (first impression)

Baku ist für mich bisher eine wirklich Überraschung. Leider nicht unbedingt eine Positive. Ich hatte Baku stark mit Judo in Verbindung gebracht, weil ich im Fernsehen sehr viele Kämpfe gesehen habe, die aus Baku übertragen wurden.. Vom Weg zum Flughafen bis in die Innenstadt wurde dieser Eindruck unterstützt, man sieht viele Stadien für verschiedenste Sportarten! Unser erstes Hotel war in keiner so guten Gegend, doch wenn man Richtung Innenstadt geht, sieht man die historische und wirklich schöne Seite Bakus. Was mich aber sehr überrascht hat, sind die direkten, aufdringlichen und oft übergriffigen Äußerungen vieler Männer. Mal sehen ob das nur ein Vorgeschmack auf die Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate und Mittelafrika ist..

Baku is a real surprise for me so far. Unfortunately, not necessarily a positive one. I had strongly associated Baku with judo because I saw a lot of fights on TV that were broadcast from Baku.... From the way to the airport to the city centre, this impression was supported, you see many stadiums for all kinds of sports! Our first hotel was not in such a good area, but when you go towards the city centre, you see the historical and really beautiful side of Baku. What surprised me a lot, though, were the pushy and often encroaching comments of the men. Let's see if this is just a foretaste of the United Arab Emirates and Central Africa..Read more
