Chilly night (40 degrees) but warmed up to 70 today. Stepped out of my tent to get going and saw a small of herd of deer grazing a few yards from me (see video). The deer in Shenandoah National Park are very tame… they obviously know the no hunting laws by heart!
Beautiful views of the valley once again from the 3,500ft ridge-line. The nice weather plus it being a Friday meant lots of day hikers & dogs out on trail. Great to have company out there a few days a week.
No zero day tomorrow but I did have Wayne pick me up at 4pm for a stay in Luray VA tonight. I want to watch the NCAA basketball tourney, specifically the Michigan game. Tip off 9:45pm. Game over at Midnight. Back on trail early am. 😳😣
