These were our first official
wreck dives. It confirmed for me that I don't really enjoy wreck dives. But parts of it were pretty neat. Going through the ships that were laying on their side and seeing the big holes in them from the bombs and their messed up engines. These were all Japanese ships that were sunk by the Americans during WW2.
I found the reefs on the outside of the ships much more fascinating. There were tons of fish, and coral and other cool stuff. We got to see an electric clam. I didn't even know there was such a thing.
We rented a scooter and got to see a couple of other things in and around Coron, such as the Hot Springs and a beautiful snorkeling spot and generally exploring the island..
There was a really nice vegan restaurant just a short walk from where we were staying, which made eating very convenient.Read more
