    The city of Hue served as the imperial capital of Vietnam during the Nguyen Dynasty, leaving behind a legacy of architectural marvels.

    On the day that I arrived there I’ve gotten the chance to embark on a motorcycle tour around the vibrant rice fields of Hue. Thanks to the incredible size of the Perfume river the neighbouring city’s and villages can profit from it by building big sizes of rice fields. The availability of water is essential for rice cultivation.

    The Perfume River, known as "Sông Hương" in Vietnamese, derives its name from the fragrance emitted by the blossoms that fall from the orchard trees lining its banks during autumn. These flowers, particularly those of the indigenous pomelo trees, release a sweet and pleasant aroma, which go through the air and gives the river its evocative name, the Perfume River. This natural phenomenon has contributed to the river's name and significance, making it not only a geographical feature but also a cultural symbol of beauty and fragrance in the region.
