Left my handbag in our airport taxi. What a drama! Airport staff were so helpful in contacting our driver, Danny who made the journey back to the airport to give me the bag. Unfortunately we were through security more hassle till we were finally reunited 😢 😪Read more

90min drive from Cairns up the coast road with a driver that talked the whole way! Road runs between the ocean and Daintree forest. It was dark when we arrived but can't wait to see it in the daylight!Read more

Fabulous cable car ride over the top of the rainforest forest with stops for a board walk through the rain forest, Barron Falls view point and Kuranda village followed by a scenic train journey back down to Cairns.Read more

Still 30°+ 🌞 but desert heat so much more comfortable than the rainforest humidity. Had a wander around the resort then a swim and some sunshine before dinner. Nice chilled start to Friday morning.

Early start, 4am, Saturday for 10km sunrise walk around the rock. Amazing experience with a great guide explaining some of the Aboriginal customs and culture.Read more

Watson Bay

Ferry ride to Watson Bay. Great views of the bridge and Opera house. Walk around Watson Bay, cliff top walk and ocean views and coffee of course. Fish and chips at Doyles on the quayside, not as good as Sandros. Andy found a friend as usual🤣🙄

Ferry back to circular Quay and a walk through the Rocks and over the bridge. Double decker train back to Town Hall before happy hour in Darling Harbor. 🍻🍔Read more

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was Bridge climb day! And amazing but scary 😨 experience. Beautiful clear day gave us views all the way to the Pacific Ocean on one side and The Blue Mountains on the other.

Celebratory drink and lunch followed by a walk around the Opera House and ice cream in the Botanic Gardens.Read more

Merry Christmas from Manly Beach

Ferry to Manly and a wander around. Lots of picnics and bbqs set up along the esplanade. Ferry back to Sydney around 1pm where queues going out were mental!

Christmas dinner at Roast Republic 😋 best steak we've had. So good we booked to go back tomorrow 😀Read more

Boxing Day Bondi and Yaughts

Boxing day bus to Bondi Beach for stroll, coffee and a paddle then bus to Watson Bay to watch the start of the Sydney to Hobart Yaught race!

Cockatoo Island

Ferry under Sydney Harbor bridge to Cockatoo Island. Self guided audio tour around the island which was used as overspill for convicts then developed into a naval engineering base particularly important during the first World War were ships from the Pacific ocean were serviced and repaired.
Wee wander around George Street designer shops before cocktails and dinner.Read more

Picked up from our hotel and driven into the Blue Mountains via City Farm where we saw wallabies, kangaroos and koalas. Long day sight seeing!

Early start for our flight back to Singapore. Andy left his beloved hat on the plane😪. Arrived in a thunder storm so had drinks and dinner in the hotel.

Monday morning off to explore using public transport. First stop the Gardens in the Bay in daylight. Beautiful manicured gardens. Next off to Raffles Hotel and The Long Bar for a Singapore Sling or two! Had to wait in a queue for 20mins to get in but the experience was worth it! Great service and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Last stop was Lau Pa Sat hawker center for some food. Never seen so many different food counters in one place! Great food for around £5 each😋😋

Last day and a walk to try and buy andy another hat😟 Walk around Fort Canning Park and coffee in Tiong Bahru Bakery🫢

Afternoon at the pool then dinner and a drone show on Clarke Quay.Read more
