Traveler This was White Star Liners headquarters in 1912 and it was from one of these balconies that it was announced to waiting crowds that Titanic was lost.
Traveler There are two very large birds on top of this building, and their names are Bertie and Bella. The male, Bertie, looks over the city and the female, Bella looks to the sea. The building, headquarters to the Royal Liver Assurance, was opened in 1911. The birds are strapped down, as it is said Liverpool will fall if they leave.
