Day 28 Dickinson to Mandan, ND

97.60 miles, 2442 feet. NOT. What a difference a day makes, we have been fighting heat and wind for over a week now. This morning we set out at 7:00 and the temps were in the low 60’s. By the time we pedaled out of Dickinson, the temperature dropped, there was fog and a light mist. On top of that, there was a 15 mile an hour headwind.

At mile 38, it began to rain harder and we sought refuge in an antique shop in the tiny town of Hebron. We ended up eating lunch at a local cafe. We also entered the central time zone. In the end, all but three in our group decided to call it a day and sagged to the motel in Mandan. Not many photos today.Read more
