Daintree Rainforest

Went on a tour of the Daintree rainforest, which is the oldest living rainforest on Earth. We went out as far as Point Tribulation, which is where the river and the Great Barrier Reef meet. It wasn't an ideal time of year but I managed to see some crocs!Læs mere

I took some time to explore outside of Georgetown. Kek Lok Si temple is normally closed by 5pm but I lucked out because they keep it open late and illuminate it during Chinese New year

Elephant Nature Park

I had read that a lot of places in Thailand where you can see elephants don't treat the animals very well in order to make them do tricks for tourists, so I wanted to do my research on where to go. Elephant Nature Park came highly recommended and with different animal welfare groups giving their stamps of approval. The elephants were mostly rescued from abusive practices elsewhere or taken in to provide care.
I wasn't able to interact with them but we were able to get very close, as you can tell in some of the shots here!Læs mere
