  • Bogota

    February 12 in Colombia ⋅ ☁️ 19 °C

Avianca gave me a ridiculously short connection in Bogota and ended up missing my next flight to Ecuador. The earliest that I could get to San Cristobal was the following morning so I decided to make the best of a bad situation and do a quick sightseeing tour of the city.Read more

  • Playa Mann

    February 14 in Ecuador ⋅ ☁️ 27 °C

Nothing planned today so I went down to one of the beaches in town. Seals were everywhere again! They have absolutely no fear of humans so they were enjoying the beach along with the rest of us there.

  • Kicker Rock

    February 15 in Ecuador ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

Also known as Leon Dormido, went on a fantastic snorkeling trip. My camera died before the end of the day so I didn't get a chance to record the young sea lion that swam up to me or the huge group of sharks that were swimming below me!Read more

  • San Cristobal

    February 16 in Ecuador ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

I had a pretty relaxed day today, I got burned pretty badly out on the water so wasn't up to doing much. I took a short walk to the Interpretation Center, which is basically a small museum with the history of the Galapagos and the geography and wildlife there.Read more

  • Santa Cruz

    February 17 in Ecuador ⋅ 🌙 26 °C

Nothing crazy today, I took the ferry to Santa Cruz Island by ferry which took a few hours.

  • Santa Cruz

    February 19 in Ecuador ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

I went to a tortoise preserve on this island as well, they also had a cave system that was made up of tubes left by lava flows

  • Telefelérico and Middle of the World

    February 22 in Ecuador ⋅ 🌧 18 °C

I did another sightseeing tour of the city, looking at it from the highest viewpoints in the city. I also went to go see the 0'00" latitude marker

  • Quilotoa Lake

    February 23 in Ecuador ⋅ ☁️ 10 °C

I went on a much longer trip today. We went to Quilotoa and along the way some of the indigenous communities that live in the area. Quilotoa is a lake formed in the crater of a volcano so doesn't have any running water and lots of chemicals from the lava and ash so it gets it's weird colour and shapeRead more

  • Cotopaxi

    Feb 24–26 in Ecuador ⋅ 🌧 8 °C

I stayed at a hostel/retreat in Cotopaxi province. I don't have much to share from here because it rained for over a day and most of the activities they had seemed too intense with the altitude and the weather. I mainly just hung out inside and chatted with the other guests, read a book, or just enjoyed the scenery.Read more

  • Cuenca

    Feb 27–Mar 2 in Ecuador ⋅ ☁️ 18 °C

The last leg of my trip is in the city of Cuenca. I'm glad that I made my way out here, it's a beautiful city that reminds me a lot of Spain and Italy. I went on a short walking tour of the city to see some of the sights in the historic district and get a good panoramic view from 'el balcon'Read more
