Belize City

Started our day with s 3.5 hour drive from Placencia to Belize City. Really beautiful drive with jungle right to the highway edge all along the Hummingbird highway. Checked into our hotel and dropped off Alexa and mom and then returned our Jeep.

When we first rented the jeep, about 20 minutes later on a highway, a large rock kicked up from a truck and put a big crack in the windshield. So i was dreading the moment of returning the jeep and sorting that issue out. But somehow they didn't notice, or didn't care, and they even gave me a free ride back to my hotel.

Our hotel was awesome. Nice restaurant, lovely gardens and a large pool. Spent the day lounging by the pool and finishing off the beer and wine we had bought in hopkins and placencia. It was actually really busy too with lots of families all around the pool area. Hadn't seen this many people in a long time. Last sleep and off to the airport.Weiterlesen
