Day 2 Travel Bangkok to koh Tao. Sairee

Flew by Bangkok to Chaweng, took a 1 hour taxi to.. And then a 1 hour ferry to koh Tao.
Arrived at our stunning hotel, Simple Life Cliff view hotel. Wow! We booked a family room and got a whole flatlet.

Found the best restaurant, AC 2, On the sand. Cushions to lie on. The best chicken cashew nut we've ever eaten.

Day 4 Tanote Beach

Hired a scooter and Nardus ferried us one by one to Tanote Bay, one of the best snorkeling spots in koh Tao.
We saw a reef tipped shark, tanned and ate lunch on the beach

Day 5 : Shark Bay

Snorkelling in shark Bay. Secluded from the wind. Back to AC 2 for more chicken cashew nut. Got the name of the chilli paste from the cook. Then headed to a Mexican restaurant. Nardus loving his little scooter!Read more

Day 6 Travelled to Koh phanghan

Caught a ferry to koh phanghan. Hired a jeep and drove north for 20 min to Mae Haad Bay resort.
We got a bit conned. The advert showed a stunning pool overlooking the sea and then when we arrived they walked us out of that hotel to a newly built section away from the beach, with a green, slimy pool. I was very upset. Went and showed the manager the agoda website and the photo of the pool. He was soooo rude. Shouted at me in front on all the guests at reception. Hectic. But they did move us and now we're in a lovely room overlooking the main pool.
Had lunch on the sand and then spent the afternoon swimming in the pool until the downpour started. Nardus snorkelledRead more

Volleyball /hippy beach. Flat, crystal clear sea. Magical. I stood on a sea anenomie. V sore. Looks like a thorn but locals hit it with a bottle and put lemon juice on it

Must be one of my favorite places. Lounging in hammocks. Jumping into the sea, snorkelling. My happy place.
Hired a scooter for Scoun to try out. Not as easy as she expected to turn, especially with daddy on the back.

10. Than sadet Waterfalls

Drove to waterfall. Jeep blew up on the way. Smoke everywhere. Stuck on the side of the road by an elephant tourist attraction where ellies chained by their feet to the ground. Heartbreaking. People paying to pet them. Could see their anguish.
Got new car and headed for waterfall. Had a lovely swim in the pools. Nardus almost lived on the wild side and skinny dipped. But, sadly, some other people arrived and destroyed things :(Read more

Ferried to koh samui and booked in to Casa De Mar on the northern end of chaweng Beach.
Nice hotel but a bit far from chaweng main area. Hired a scooter.
Embarrassed to say that after 2 weeks in Thailand we were craving burgers and headed for Mc Ds.
In the evening had massages and then dropped Charne at night food market. Not worth going to so to supper at A&Bs. Nothing remarkableRead more

Lamai night market was closed so we walked around some stalls, bought pancakes, and stopped at a local Thai place for whole fish, curry, and vegetable curry.
