    6 de noviembre de 2024, Vietnam ⋅ ☁️ 27 °C

Onto the bus for a drive to Cu Chi Tunnels and shooting range.
The drive took about 2 hours. We stopped at an artisan factory where they made beautiful handicraft boxes, coasters, and pictures from egg shells and sea shells.

Onto the tunnels, and we had just over an hour being guided around to the tunnels, the firing range, and heard about the history of how they survived and fought.

  • Hoi An

    7 de noviembre de 2024, Vietnam ⋅ ☁️ 25 °C

After our arrival at the Rosemary Hotel, we settled in, Susan unpacked, and we went with our guide Nini on a tour into town. Had some di ner at the White Rose, then on Tuk Tuk to the canal for lantern boat ride and a wonder past the wonderful shops.

This is a beautiful town at night, and you don't feel the shop owners bothering you. As usual, we saw some nice things to buy, but I restrained myself.

  • Rest day at Hoi An

    8 de noviembre de 2024, Vietnam ⋅ ☁️ 26 °C

A quiet morning at Rosemary Hotel and a short visit to the beach. Bai Bien Beach usually has very white sand and is full of tourists. It is the quiet season and a typhoon had been through recently. There is another anticipated to arrive after we leave.

So the beach was not white and was very quiet.

  • Ho Chi Minh to Da Nang

    8 de noviembre de 2024, Vietnam ⋅ ☁️ 27 °C

We left our beautiful crew on the boat to have another quick tour around Ho Chi Ming city. Went to a temple where I lit an insense stick to give my family luck and prosperity.

Onto a wholesale market where you can buy anything in bulk, and if you're there at the right time, you can buy just one or two items. 😉

Then, to the hotel to pick up our lunch boxes and the airport to get our flight to Da Nang. Our new guide Nini met us at the airport and we were off to Hoi An, in a new bus, which took about one hour.

The rosemary hotel is lovely and has a pool and spa facilities.

  • My Sun

    9 de noviembre de 2024, Vietnam ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

Today, we chose to do a private tour with a guide from Get Your Guide.
Minh picked us up from our hotel at 7:30am and we drove for about 1 hour to My Son 🛕.

We seemed to be the only ones there, and the walk-in was beautiful, and when we arrived at the temple, it was amazing with the sun behind.

On the way out there, crowds had arrived, so thank you, Minh, for getting us there early.

  • Ba Na Hills

    9 de noviembre de 2024, Vietnam ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

Wow, what an absolutely amazing place. This could take a couple of posts.

The gondola ride up qas 7klm and took approx 20mins. However, the escalators to get to the gondola seemed to go on and on. There were 9 escalators, and that also took about 30mins.

Once at the top, it felt like we were arriving at a mix of Disneyland and Kryal Castle.

First photos of the entrance and route to the escalators.

Flight delayed from 12:30pm to 16:30 and then 18:15.

Went to Da Nang beach for a 1.5hr fill-in and had some lunch. Watched some locals playing cards and had coconut coffee - delicious. I will have to find a local Vietnamese restaurant that makes coffee (sorry, Nick).

Arrived at airport, no dramas with luggage check in, and get to gate for another 30min delay.

Ahh, well, sit and relax and fill in our journals. Charge our devices and wait.

Arrived in Ha Noi at 8:30pm. and hotel by 9:30pm. Staying at Westlake for the night.
