24C when we arrived and the sun was shining. We decided to take the open topped red city tour bus, costing US$25 each but is an excellent way of seeing all the highlights in one go. We hopped off the bus at Waikiki Beach and strolled along the long promenade, passing the statue of Duke Kahanamoku, a Hawaiian Olympic surfing champion. The water was 26C and the beach was busy.
