Regensburg

Yesterday afternoon we arrived in Regensburg to sunshine and 28°. Took a stroll by the Danube before dinner.
Today the had another thought, rainy and 8°. 🥶.
Very fitting weather to travel to Flossenburg to see the remains of the concentration camp that my dad was in. While most of it has been destroyed by the allies, the laundry /shower block, camp kitchen, the SS headquaters, watch towers and crematorium remain. There's a lovely memorial garden, Jewish memorial and a chapel representing all the different nations imprisoned. It's a miracle dad survived the camp. I'm so glad we visited.Læs mere
