Pulled up to st pancras station a bit too early. Saw three blokes with pints and we did the same :D

The Eurostar is fucking dope, i am definitely coming back to Europe by Eurostar again because what the hell it was fast. It was dark for like 30 minutes then suddenly we were in France? Good use of technology. Also really appealing that everyone can have two big bags and one carry-on, plus you arrive in the middle of the city so there’s no faffing with getting more transport. In Brussels

Arrived at Brussels Zuid/Midi station and we met up with Cam. Cam took us to the square in Marollen, we stopped at a no frills cafe to have a light munch and some hot drink. I had a coffee and several cigarettes. I had a try of Jess’ onion soup and that was lush.

The flea market was in front of the cafe so Jess, Laura and i had a good wander around. It looked like heaven to me, a lot of random epic crap. It was nice to look at all the stuff - i think the odd few paintings and little tables were the nicest things about, but i can’t really bring those back. I got to speak some French to converse and barter with the vendors, was nice to speak some French! I bought a cool skirt and funky green trousers (pics coming soon).

After some snack shopping, we took the tram back to Cam’s flat for a little breather as we were all on 2-3 hours’ sleep. Around 18:00 ish we went to a big supermarket to buy ingredients for dinner at the beach town. At this point I was starting to flag because I hadn’t had a hot meal since yesterday lol

We took the 19:38 train to Heist (beach town) from Brussels Nord, when we sat on one of the platform benches, a big juicy rat came out of nowhere and ran across <3
The train was a double decker and I have never been on the upper deck of a train, very cool.Read more

Arrived in Heist! It’s quite windy !!!!!

We were the only people that got off at this station. Outside the station we danced to Laura’s choreography of nicki minaj - starships. We had burgers and sweet potato chips for dinner, and watched Madagascar.

On the second day, I was sort of too tired to do shit after we went to the supermarket so i had a juicy nap whilst Cam, Jess and Laura went to the playground and beach. I wanted to conserve my energy because I knew we’d stay up late to celebrate Jess’ birthday come midnight. It was just a chill day really. We had burgers and sweet potato chips again for dinner. Oh also we had some beers, the shop had mostly just blonde beers. I like the name of the beer called La Chouffe, it’s fun to say and tastes good.

When it was about five to midnight, we made Jess go on the balcony so she couldn’t see us birthday partyify the flat. We had a little dance or jump around, and then went to the beach to take some pics and to smoke a spliff (alexa play high by the beach lana del rey). Then we went back and watched Madagascar 2 whilst progressively crashing out one by one.Read more

Now a proper Brussels experience

Made it back to Brussels from Heist in the late afternoon. The weather became much nicer and the sun was just always out.

Mik played a set at Kiosk radio 1900-2000, and then we stayed for an extra hour to hear Sarra Wild’s set. The area around Kiosk radio was really cute and filled with more people than I initially expected (i thought it’d just be the booth and nothing in front really).

Will write more soon and upload more pics, i just kinda hate looking at my phone lol and i dont have a lot of space on my phone to upload photos from my camera.Read more

Are we in Heaven?

Took a flixbus coach to Amsterdam from Brussels, the station location was kind of communicated poorly and we JUST missed the coach. The driver was literally closing the passenger door and about to drive off when we found the coach. He was kind of aggy when driving … i hope his personal life is ok! I just slept on the coach, i kept waking up because i was a bit self conscious about the prospect of snoring and disturbing people. I don’t think i snored !!!!

We got to the airbnb/heaven looking nature retreat and why is the airbnb insane (see pics). We are all very impressed it looks lush. There’s like a little beach???? A barrel sauna, games room, yoga classes, playground, vegetable garden etc. etc. There’s also our own private hot tub at the back :0Read more
