Shades of Cyprus

Today we headed due West to the Coast (gulf of Mexico). After a little bit of route finding difficulty ( Google sometimes gets it wrong!) we arrived in Celestun, a laid back resort famous for sea food and flamingos! Hence the Shades of Cyprus title to this footprint!
We took the obligatory boat trip into the biosphere reserve and saw an amazing number of flamingos as well as many other birds. We were lucky to have a bit of a bird expert as our skipper as he spotted many tiny species that we would have missed without his help.
Next to the beach area and lunch. Stuffed fillet of fish, delicious! Next a swim in the Gulf then back to Merida and our last evening in this vibrant city ( see Merida Madness!)もっと詳しく
