Stay at the Quarantine "Q" Station

We arrived at the Q Station late on Tuesday evening after a flight, a train ride, a ferry ride and a taxi ride!!!! The Q Station, Australia's oldest and longest operating Quarantine Station, dates back to the early 1800s. Once a Quarantine Station for migrants arriving in Australia by ship, this historic site is now open for exploration and accommodation to unwind and relax in the Sydney Harbour National Park. Wednesday we explored the grounds and the buildings on site and then went to Manly for a stroll on the beach and dinner. Yesterday we hiked the many trails in the Sydney Harbour National Park, spent some time at the quarantine beach in the afternoon and then had nice dinner at the Boiler Room restaurant. We can hear the kookaburras laughing at us but we haven't been able to spot them!!! Today we head back to Sydney for our last few days in Austratia.Baca selengkapnya
