We are at our last stop in NZ - Queenstown.

Queenstown is NZ's natural playground with sking in the winter and hiking and cycling in the summer.

It was overcast and wet on our first day but we managed to walk along lake Wakatipu, the town center and the Queenstown gardens during breaks in the rain. Queenstown is very pretty but quite touristy and busy.

Yesterday we joined an excursion to Milford Sound in the Fiordland National Park. We had the perfect day for it, sunny and warm (by NZ summer standards, around 20C!). The cruise along the Fiord was very beautiful with tall snow covered peaks and waterfalls. The bus ride was very scenic and worthwhile (6 hrs there with a few scenic stops and 4.5 hrs back).

Today, our last day in NZ, we had perfect weather to hike the Queenstown Hill trail for scenic views (at nearly 1 km above sea level) of Queenstown and the Remarkables mountain range.
