  • Red Hands Cave - Blue Mountains

    October 30, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 24 °C

Our first stop outside Sydney leads us to the Red Hands Cave in the Blue Mountains. After a one hour walk on the Red Hands Cave Track we were able to spot the cave with its Aboriginal Art. Some of the handprints were around 1000 years old - impressive!Read more

  • Tomaree Nationalpark

    November 1, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

If you are near Port Stephen's, don't miss the Tomaree Mountain Summit Walk! The view over Shoal Bay and Fingal split is definetly worth the 600 m climb!

  • Camping near Dorigo

    November 1, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

A good thing about Australia is that you can find free campgrounds like this one! Campgrounds are good spots to meet other travellers. However, the toilets aren't always great and there are no showers. But we can deal with that haha!Read more

  • Jacaranda Festival - Grafton

    November 2, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 26 °C

The Jacaranda tree has beautiful purple blossoms in spring time! Grafton is famous for these trees. Every year they choose a jacaranda queen and you can try jacaranda ice cream. Furthermore we spotted several people wearing purple clothes! However we don't know if this was planned or just by chance haha.Read more

  • Backpacker Tobi '

    November 2, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 26 °C

With his new head, Tobi looks like a typical Australian 😂🤠 or how Australians would say "like a typical German backpacker". It all depends on your way of looking.

  • Noosa

    November 8, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

Despite the parking situation, Noosa is a beautiful little beach town! It has lovely beaches and walking tracks and is situated next to a nationalpark. We followed the Coastal track to the fairy pools where we took a swim. The walk led us through the rainforest and to awesome lookouts where we not only saw two sea turtles, but also spotted a wild koala! Can you see it in one of the pictures? 😊🐨Read more

  • On the Road

    November 10, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 30 °C

Australians roads are full of surprises! When you are in the middle of nowhere, it's not unusual that the grid road suddenly changes into a gravel road! We even encountered cows ON the streets!! 😂 But what would a road trip be without a little adventure like this? Definetly more boring haha!Read more

  • Cape Hillsborough

    November 11, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

We spend the day and night on a beautiful camping in Cape Hillsborough Nationalpark which was right next to the beach. The camping was in the middle of nature and thus had no reception, but we didn't mind because there were a lot of other things to explore! We were surrounded by wallabies, kangurus, kookaburras and other beautiful birds. The next morning we got up early to see wallabies and kangurus on the beach and to watch the sunrise with them. This was pretty spectacular and an awesome start in the day (although we slept for 3 h more hours after our early beach visit at 4:45 am haha!).Read more

  • Whitsunday Islands & Whitehaven Beach

    November 13, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

We sailed for two days on the boat 'Siska' around the Whitsunday Islands and visited Whitehaven Beach. As we arrived at the Beach, one of the crew members introduced us by saying "Welcome to Paradise". If you look at the pictures you'll see what she meant! The water is (due to a light effect) light blue and the sand is white, soft and never gets warmer than 25 degrees!
Futhermore, a scene of 'Pirates of the Caribbean 2' is filmed at this place! Do you recognize it?

  • Magnetic Island - Forts Walk

    November 16, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

Our first stop on Magnetic Island was the Forts Walk, a walk which leads its visitors to forts of WWII. This was cool, but definetly not the highlight of the walk! Magnetic Island has one of the highest koala populations in Australia. There are around 800 koalas on the island! On our way we saw 5 or 6 wild Koalas, relaxing in the trees alongside the track.Read more

  • Panorella Park

    November 17, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 32 °C

Sometimes it is worth to stop randomly at a place without knowing what it is about and to discover the history and magic of this place! Panorella Park was definitely worth a visit! It's a park where a man from Spain fulfilled his dream: inspired by Gaudí, he built his own castles in a wonderful rain forest setting.Read more
