    24. November 2018 in Peru ⋅ ⛅ 19 °C

We enjoy Cusco‘s life and do a „shorttrip“ daytour starting early in the morning 3am to the famous „Vinicunca“ - better known as Rainbow Mountains 🌈 We start from 4700m and climb up to 5042m above sea level... oxygen is getting rare... 🥶 we also risk a glimpse to the mysterious Red Valley - dinosaurs 🦕🦖 could still live here...Weiterlesen

  • La Paz - Adventure in Bolivia

    4. Dezember 2018 in Bolivien ⋅ ☀️ 16 °C

💀 ...Death Road ...💀 Together with Darja and Cyrill - the 2 🇨🇭 guys conquering the world - they quit and are traveling since 5 months with no end in sight... so great!! we‘re curious how long they‘re gonna make... 🥳🤞🏼

So we drove from 4800m (Oxygen - where’s that oxygen? 🥶) 60k‘s down the world‘s most dangerous road by bike to 1200m!
And the Dutch girl Jasmin and I hit a snake 🐍 - so sorry, Snake! But think she‘s a tough one (the snake 😄) and survived! ✌🏼 We all somehow survived the trip too... 😅 and some new downhill bikers were born...!!

  • Salar de Uyuni

    5. Dezember 2018 in Bolivien ⋅ ☀️ 12 °C

Planned to do the trip with Darja and Cyrill - they needed to cancel the tour at 5am as their stomach decided to not completely digest the healthy clean Bolivian food 🥘 🤢
So we spontaneously meet Caro and Marc (also from 🇨🇭) in Uyuni in the Salty Desert tour office and decide to do the 3 day journey through the mysterious Salt Flats together, with no shower, and spare water access.... Amazing landscapes were crossing our path... one of our favorite tour in life! 😍 and celebrated my 29th birthday in the flats 🥴😂🥳Weiterlesen

  • Santiago - das Ende von Südamerika

    8. Dezember 2018 in Chile ⋅ ☁️ 15 °C

Nach eher kühlen Wochen hoch in den Anden wird es nun (eeeendlich) über 30 Grad. Gute Wärme-Akklimatisierung für Australien 😄 Santiago de Chile: im Übrigen eine Super Stadt!!
Spanisch lernen? Vergiss Spanien - 🇨🇱 Santiago de Chile it is!! 🇨🇱

No fruits, just cooked or boiled food, toothbrushing with fresh water or purified itself (Ja!!

  • Welcome to Australia - Manly Beach

    12. Dezember 2018 in Australien ⋅ ⛅ 22 °C

After 14 hours of a (direct) flight from Santiago de Chile - we arrived in the high price island Australia: where we could rent a taxi in South America for an 1 hour for as much as 6 USD, we jump in a taxi in Sydney Airport and within the first seconds, the taxi meter shows more than 5 USD.... 🙈🥶
At least - we have a cheap hotel directly at Manly Beach 🏖

  • On the road into the Australian Outback

    15. Dezember 2018 in Australien ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

We‘re hitting the road from Adelaide to the Ayers Rock („Uluru“) and to Alice Springs through the Australian outback...our servant is the 4WD campervan from Apollo 🚐 the next days - there will be nothing but desert.. 🏜

We carry a lot of food, extra water and extra diesel in these days... for emergencies (car breakdown, snake bite 🐍 etc) we have a gps activated device where an airplane should find and rescue us... fingers crossed 🤞🏼 no need to use it!

    Starting with sunrise... let‘s a goo! 🌅

  • Coober Pedy and the total Outback...

    16. Dezember 2018 in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

It‘s getting hot (44+ degrees 🥵) - we‘re amazingly alone - just some snakes 🐍 and a loooot of slightly annoying flies..

Good we have a 4WD to conquer the rough roads...! 🚙
However, it‘s easier and smoother to speed over the dirt roads with more than 80km/h than slowly crawling...

The next day we need to drive more than 800km’s to „Uluru“ - as the lovely Aboriginal Girl says: „Uluru - that‘s for me just down the road“... and for us just on the opposite of Europe!

Funny fact: so far - we saved the life of 2 birds 🦅, 3 reptiles 🦎 and 1 kangoroo 🦘 with stunning driving abilities... 😲

  • Uluru / Ayer's Rock

    18. Dezember 2018 in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 39 °C

After driving through the total outback - we arrived at the Red Center... The Uluru-Kata-Tjuta Nationalpark 🏞

Many people may say: It‘s just a rock...

But... we loved the atmosphere, the hot temperatures above 44 degrees (around 50 close to the rock), and were stunned by the more green than red coloured Red Center...
It is not allowed to take pictures from everywhere in order to respect the Aboriginees... but we could take a few and can say:

Definitely worth the trip! 😄 🏜

  • King's Canyon

    19. Dezember 2018 in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 34 °C

After blending Uluru we decided to head North towards King‘s Canyon. A 3 hours drive took us to the entrance of this National Park...

And we can say - it was one of our favourite walks through a rocky landscape... together with the sunrise - wonderful 🌅Weiterlesen

  • Meereenie Loop and Ormiston Gorge

    20. Dezember 2018 in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 33 °C

On the way to Alice Springs we take the famous „Mereenie Loop“. An unsealed road - very bumpy - but with a 4WD and a speed over 80-100km/h it is more or less comfortable. On the way we meet some wild horses 🐎

Overnight we stay at Ormiston Gorge where we do the 4 hours walk in the very early morning - however, temperature around 40 degrees at 8 o‘clock in the morning was a good challenge 😅🏜 after the walk we jump in the rock pool 🏊🏻‍♀️ to cool down... aaahhh!

  • Cairns and the Rainforest

    21. Dezember 2018 in Australien ⋅ ⛅ 32 °C

After we got our outback feeling 🏜- we return the 4WD and fly from Alice Springs to Cairns. the colours are changing from red to very green and a loooot of plants 🌱. Temperature seems more moderate with 36 degrees, but this humidity..... 🥵

Here we pick up a slightly bigger camper 😄 and first, heading North towards Port Douglas and Daintree Rainforest - the oldest Rainforest in the world. Dinosaurs lived here once....

We nearly stand on a snake 🐍 15cm saved us...
Maybe you find the snake on one of the pictures...

We also visit Hartley‘s Crocodile show 🐊 and Cairns Aquarium where sharks are fed by scuba divers... 🦈
