    Dag 2: Acclimatiseren en zwemles

    January 16 in Curacao ⋅ ⛅ 27 °C

Great succes.

Dag 1: Reisdagen ontkom je niet aan

    January 15 in the Netherlands ⋅ ⛅ 2 °C

Crete, again after 3 days a risk area

    August 29, 2020 in Greece ⋅ ☀️ 26 °C

Due to the Corona Virus the planned cruise to celebrate the 40th anniversary of my parents couldn't continue as planned and so they booked this week to Crete. Wonderful week we had there and before we could check in we were fully tested on Corona in the Netherlands. With wearing masks all the safety precautions in public were covered and on the 4th day of our holiday testing wasn't necessary any more for the Dutch. But 3 days after coming home the Greek Islands all got code Orange and again quarantaine for people (coming from those islands) applied from that day on.Read more

5 months later due to 'smart lockdown'

    August 11, 2020 in Greece ⋅ 🌙 27 °C

The Smart Lockdown prevented travelling for pleasure and Lesbos is our 'must go to' every year. So we went as soon as we could and on the island went to multiple place including Vatera were the day before appeared to have 7 confirmed cases. When I looked for this news-link I found this:
    https://www.euractiv.com/section/coronavirus/ne…
so not even when we were tested on arrival by the greek government there still were some cases coming out of nowhere (it would seem).

2nd wave, 2 months later in France

    June 24, 2020 in France ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C

This one is almost as far off as the trips to Asia and Australia but still better that we escaped this newly orange zone in time. Orange means go in quarantaine when you arrive home. That has been introduced since March.

Apres ski bars close: just 1 day after

    March 11, 2020 in Austria ⋅ ⛅ 4 °C

Pure luck so far? Well this one is another coincidence were we were lucky: We always go to the Ice-bar in Mayrhofen in Zillertal Tirol on wednesday, the whole thing got strange when the cab driver asked which bar since most of them were closes. The ice-bar let 100 people in and a few more in the area at the back these were the rules and we had a great time in a half full apres ski bar. The day after we heard that all the bars must close also due to an incident at Ischgl were multiple were infected in an apres ski bar. This same day we heard that saturday would be the last that all the Ski-areas were open. No more wintersports for anybody, we had the last apres ski and the last ski of the year.

Carnaval Tilburg: great idea, just 1 day

    February 24, 2020 in the Netherlands ⋅ 🌧 10 °C

And it appeared that patient zero of the Netherlands had joined the party at exactly the same spot but only 1 day before we were there. I also found out that he traveled on the same date to Milano as me but stayed there 2 days later.
    https://www.ad.nl/binnenland/joost-56-was-patie…

I am a hardstyle lover, it's not only the music but also the lifestyle. I sleep as few as I can endure to live my life to the fullest. As a Dutch 33 year old entrepreneur I have worked my ass off for 12 years and traveled all continents in my spare time. In the weekends that are left I will attend one the amazing hardstyle parties most of them Q dance for sure. My story in this pandemic outbreak starts 18 feb when I had to go 1 day to Lombardije for work, 2 days later hell started over there and I was feeling fine. I do a lot of sports and kept on doing this to see if I would be tired faster or out of breath sooner than normal. Nothing of the sort but you start to ask questions to yourself what if I have it without knowing. Carnaval was at hand and not all my friends are hardstyle minded so sometimes I also go out for a few drinks ;-) with sing a longs and dressed up like some comic figure. This time we went to Tilburg on monday, after working the whole day and all the way to Tilburg. Within a few hours we were drunk enough to not remember anything for half the evening. I had a great time I think ;-). When back to work 2 days later we heard the sad new that Corona was found in the Netherlands... guess where? Tilburg of all places... and amongst family of a friend even. The friday after I was in Delft for my cousins party and on this night the first case of Corona was found here also. From this point on I tried to keep away from crowds just to be sure, but with my life style that is not easily adjusted... we had the wintersport coming.... not Ischgl nooo we always go to Mayrhofen which is part of this big area Tirol. We tought all was safe here (this was last week). On 11th of march we actually where enjoying the apres ski in Mayerhofen this famous Ice-Bar. It was a little tricky to get in since only 100 persons were allowed but we got in by lucky change, we stayed within our own little group for safe keeping. The next day we heard that this was the last apres ski of the year and that the Ice Bar was one of few to have opened at all that day.
The sunday after the whole ski season ended and all lifts and hotels were closed. Again lucky of isn't there such a thing? Now we technically should be in Quarantaine for one more week because we were in Tirol last week. We act like in Quarantaine as much as possible, but having no signs of being sick what so ever, we avoid the weak and only meet with the ones in the same boat. I am an a outdoor person, I can't sit still, this is already a challenge... so I am very happy to listen to Q today and forever and I do this while having digital contact with friends.
Seriously I could never be patient zero... allthough it's close enough for the Europe part. Immune or doged it everytime? or just in good health? we will find out later I guess. Let's say I am just lucky and devoted to help people who are less lucky by aiding healthcare where I can and staying away from people with lesser strength to fight this sickness.

It starts in China 1st of Jan... Goes to Singapore (like I did) around 13th Jan, to America around the 21st of Jan than a few others before it went to Australia but wait for it... the next after Australia should have been America (if it followed me) but France is the first country of Europe that had infections.
