We had a cozy appartment in Brooklyn. Brooklyn is to calm but New York is only a jump away. The airbnb family we staied with was the most friendly and lovely hosts we ever met.
Central Park

Central Park is so stunning and inspiering that we had to visit it twice. The 2nd day we walked the whole park from north to south.
Brooklyn Bridge

You haven't been to nyc if you haven't walked the brooklyn bridge. The bridge is very busy but worth it.
