Skytrail & cable car @ Oriental Village

Most insane experience. We knew hikes can get intense, but this was a whole new level.

10 minutes in, we were already wondering if we made the right move. Soon after we had to climb a fallen tree as it blocked our pathway. These should have been the signs to turn around.

But we persevered. And then we stopped, thinking we had made it to mid point, but we were barely a quarter way there. 3km UP.

2ish hours later, we finally made it up to the peak. With so many mosquito bites 🥲

The cable car ride was such a lifesaver. Imagine having to climb back down... And we also wondered what it's like if anyone got injured or stuck midway, how would they get rescued out? Do the rescuers also have to hike like this, and while carrying someone else?Read more
