    Neuschwanstein Castle and Hohenschwangau

    Katie sees snow for the first time! A stunning castle set in the most beautiful scenery. A fairytale forest with snow and purple spring wildflowers coming through. Snow covered mountains in the distance and the most amazing blue lakes at the bottom. Photos do not adequately capture the size of the castle. The scale of the mountains around it make it seem petit but up close you can appreciate the enormity and scale of the place. Cliffs and waterfalls go down one side and horse drawn carts take people to the castle at the top. The horses were magnificent creatures that we appreciates as we walked up the hill.
