Clava Cairns

These are ancient burial grounds with standing stones. Also a similar setting to “Outlander”. Our tour director was slightly concerned by the number of Outlander fans on the bus (as was I!)

They are fascinating. You can walk right up and into them, not like Stonehenge. From the way some people were behaving though, I wouldn’t be surprised if that changes soon.Read more
