    Let the boat trip begin!

    We were picked up from the hotel, and brought to a small boat in the harbour. It was too small for a 3 day long trip indeed... It was just a way to bring us to the big boat. Along the whole trip, this will be our "taxi" :-D while the real boat gave us an awesome view and laying chairs to chill and enjoy the sailing 😍😍😍Leer más

    From the taxi boat we see this small island with a steep path up to the top... It took quite an effort to go up there but the view was breathtaking.
    Then when we went down, a small bath to cool down, some hairs show and a small headstand to open the boat trip 😍 The hair show costed me a bite from a fish that wouldn't let go! Also Mathijs got bitten 🤣🤣🤣Leer más

    Manjarite: First snorkeling session

    Here our first snorkeling session, not the most beautiful but it got us acquainted for example to the equipment and to our goPro. Here a summary of the session, while the full video will be on YouTube :-D look for me on youTube as Zeudi Mazzotta, or The Whisperer or Euclidina... :-D

    Fruit bats migration 😮😮

    We anchored here to see the fruit bats raising from the mangroves to fly to the big Flores island for hunting food in the night. Thousands of them just filled the skies. Moreover, during the wait, the sunset was also breathtaking... Many pictures here (just because I can post 20 of them) trying to catch the right exposure or angle.Leer más

    Sleeping in a safe place

    There was a lot of wind so we stopped halfway in a safe place to sleep. Tomorrow morning we will go to Padar island . I tried to take a picture of the milky way... The view of the stars without light pollution was almost bringing me to tears... But picture was very bad the boat was moving too much and long exposure wasn't working of course... But you can see the milky way, those aren't clouds!!!Leer más

    850 steps to go up the tip of this island but all worth it again!!! There were deers chilling on the beach 🤣🤣🤣🤣 what the heck! (Last picture)
    Pictures of the panorama are in sequence, while climbing the stairs .. in one of the videos you can see also what kind of stairs 😮😮🥵🥵🥵 but even while climbing the surroundings were so enchanting that fatigue became secondary ❤️Leer más

    Komodo dragons!!!

    After Padar Island, we sailed to Komodo national park to seek for the Komodo Dragon! Small chill and rest on the boat and then we arrived :-D
    We saw few smaller Komodo dragons and an extremely big one hiding under a tree. For being mating season, we were lucky to find them :-)

    Pink beach pit stop!

    After Komodo we made a pitstop at Pink beach... This sand is really pink and you mostly see it on the shore where the waves break. These are very small red coral pieces that pervade the whole beach. I also found one entire piece of coral and see how red it is! 😍 Here, I couldn't miss my headstand photo!!!Leer más

    From pink beach to Turtle point

    On the way from pink beach to Turtle point, where a promising snorkeling session should show us some sea turtles, we found weird colours on the sea. As if very low water level was showing very white sand underneath and we were surrounded by it... Of course, trip was around one hour long, we chilled on the boat and took some selfie there on the way, and you can see where those weird formations were because I added two maps screenshots with the position .Leer más

    Okay... I can't describe how enchanting this place was. We spent our last two hours of the boat trip here and we couldn't get enough. Unfortunately we had a problem with the goPro and we couldn't record something magic that happened underwater while snorkeling: suddenly all fishes surrounded us, they came so close that we could almost touch them and we were overwhelmed.
    I hope that this will happen again in Raja Ampat and then that we will be able to record it! For me it was the best moment of the whole trip: hundreds of fishes swimming and dancing with us underwater. Shivers.

    Last night in this hotel with swimming pool... Hey why not 🤣 Italian owner and I have to declare: the pasta amatriciana was very good!!! Rooms very comfortable, big showers but... No internet 😱 after three days on the boat we were hoping for some... It was very bad but we managed to do some small things at the reception WiFi...
