Street food tour Old Phuket Town

Fabulous food tour today. Our guide Pema took us through Phuket Central Market and Old Phuket Town. Lots of market stalls ranging from fresh fruits ,vegetables , spices and flowers. Lots of tastings at small restaurants ,roadside stalls and even soap ice cream. Its not actually soap but just looks like it. Tried Durion fruit and pig intestine. Interesting!!!!
Didn't realise but there are a large majority of people in Phuket who are Baba (mixed blood). People from China ,Malaysia and Myanmar. These people came because of the tin mines. A lot of excavation happened at the beaches and because of this some beaches are quite dangerous to swim at even though this happened many years ago.Read more
