From a short hike around the village.
Around Koro

There is still remnants of life in the form of farming and surprisingly some new construction going on nearby.
A Cool Hitchhiker

Leaving Koro we offer a local a ride back towards Bobo and thankfully she was gracious enough to let me take her picture. Very Coolio.
Rond Point De La Jeunesse

I believe this is a monument to celebrate the 50th year of Independence for Burkina Faso.
Hotel L Auberge

Nice pool but enjoy it in the middle of the day. Once the sun goes down the mosquitoes come out and own it. Good area to sit and enjoy a meal although the restaurants around the hotel IMHO are aLes mer
Village Life

Near Koumi. It is amazing that with such dry conditions there is still a good selection of fruits and vegetables available.
Mill House

Here locals bring their grains like corn to be milled. It's a busy and noisy operation ran by a solo operator in a small room with a loud engine to drive the mill.
Watch Out IKEA

May seem primitive by this is practical furniture made village style.
What's Brewing Here

Beer and how do I know. The white strips on the outside tells me this home has beer for sale. Other colors are used for other goods and services at other homes in the village.
The River

Essential for the village. Here women do laundry and baths are taken. It's also a recreation spot for kids to have a fun time.
A Ceremonial Cave

Where I believe women must spend time prior to marriage. Not the same as a "Man Cave".
Village Grandmother

Who no doubt has seen and experience a lot in her life time.
Village Ceremonial Altar

And local instrument.
Local Blacksmith At Work

And his finished products.
The Live Stock

Eat Mor Chikin..
A Home-Made Meal

How lucky am I? My guide's wife sends out an invite for dinner at their home. How could I refuse?
Inside The Grand Mosque

Where you will find a flooring made of sand covered in some areas with prayer mats.
Grande Mosquee de Bobo Dioulasso

Believed to have been built sometime around the late 1800 (1880 or so). This mosque was built with local materials of mostly wood and mud.
Chillin...

On the Grand Mosque.. which my guide said was OK.
A Street View

Of The Grand Mosque.
Grande Marche

Local market goods.
Cathedrale Notre Dame

Located near Grande Marche but not open while I was there.
Local Bus Station

Nice spot for some Bobo treats. Bring your picnic baskets.
Fried Bananas

A delicious street snack for less than a quarter a piece.
La Guinguetta

A relaxing park with a restaurant that is away from the city.
