Along Turhsankorez channel.
Dressed as if they were going to a business meeting more than to school. Girls in proper dresses while boys wore blue shirts with white shirts, ties and shiny black shoes.
Faded diagrams that show the layout of the city that was once here. This location is opposite the Archaeology Museum which does not open until 8am
They're not well kept and/or maintained but still cool to walk around especially during the early morning hours.
On my second attempt I finally find the actual excavation site of the city which stood on a hill, Ancient Panjikent.
Looking down from the old city with some of Tajikstan's majestic mountains towering in the background.
And this kid is looking sharp.
Looks like an all but abandoned amusement park. However, there was a groundskeeper so maybe it opens up during summer but I doubt it.
All dried up. A train wreck!
