Visit Research Center Abisko

For our last day we went to the nearby Research Station in Abisko. Emily, Post-Doc and permanent worker at the station, held a presentation about the station and the research in Abisko and surroundings. Afterwards we went to the biggest research site with long term measurements and short term experiments. In the early afternoon we went to a nearby Sami camp, that was rebuild for tourists. During sunset we had a swim in lake Torneträsk, because of the stunning atmosphere. This night we had one of the best Aurora during our stay in above the polar circle.Read more
