The Ancient Roman Ruins of Volubilis

We met up with a local guide, Karim, in Volubilis today who explained life in the Roman Empire at this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ruins are very well preserved and we were able to peer into old bathhouses, marvel at the still-present mosaic floors, and gaze up at towering marble pillars. We are in awe of just how far their empire stretched. I also loved the rich agricultural land in and around the area. It was like a patchwork quilt.Lue lisää
