    What a full day…incredible experiencing so much of all that Yellowstone has to offer. Funny, tho, our resort doesn’t have wifi - and no cell service either - and a couple of our guys have homework due tonight…. So we just sat amazed at the Buffalo on the grounds, right outside our cabin! (And we are right outside the East entrance of the park, so we are sure spoiled in this historic place.)Read more

    Old Faithful

    A true highlight at Yellowstone was having gps directed audio tour (which was a gift from some dear friends!). You can not over prepare for this massive National Park, so utilizing the app was the Best! Grateful…and have some animal pix from today…and guidance about your cell phone outside an out house!     Woke up things morning and realized something was missing…

    While some things remain appropriately confidential on the boys road trip, but there were some comic bits that were A+ for effort! Like Harry’s Jennifer Coolidge impression and some story line involving tv cartoon characters trying to aura-farm the Pope (Chris had to look out up…definition attached).

    Ice cream in Missoula

    Harry is struggling to smile since he goes to the rival school…. but Missoula was a great visit, we enjoyed the ice cream and it was cool seeing kids surfing in the river! (Chris found out later that there was a good chance that one of those surfers was the child of a lifelong friend who lives here! Small world after all.)

    For Meier…with love!

    The boys have really been missing their friend Meier, who had to stay in Seattle because he has a part in His school’s production of Hadestown (which we will see tomorrow night as the last event of our road trip!). But Meier made a special request, and we’re bringing him food back from the only Chili’s restaurant in the state of Washington!

    Family Business and Campfire Time

    After returning back to the Inman house, we finally brought out Family Business, one of the Lyons, families’s favorite card games (Tony remembers playing at that youth group back in the day.). Not only were there many gangster, impressions, and moments of backstabbing, there was also tons of laughter!

    In addition, our dear friends, prepped some material for making s’mores over the campfire for us tonight.

    Final Tally on the Alphabet Game

    When fact is stranger than fiction… we chose that we would play 50 alphabet games, and only play 51 if we were tied 25–25.

    Well, we played our 51st game today heading north out of Spokane… And between Davenport and Wilbur Washington, Chris won the tiebreaker!
