Further exploration

We were so lucky to be staying so close to many fabulous sights and places to explore. After a gentle start to the day, Kate and I went for another morning walk. This time coffee first then into the city to look around. We bought a game or Bananagrams and taught mum and dad over lunch. We brought bread and delicious cheese, mats and salad for a tasty lunch at the apartment.
After lunch we walked to Mawsons hut and the Maritime Museum. The weather was sunny but cool. Perfect for a walk. Mawsons hut replica proved to be a fascinating place where we learn about his lifted expedition as well as life in Antarctica.
The volunteers at the Maritime Museum were very kind, helpful and a bit of fun. The museum had many ships replicas but also stories of shipping triumphs and tragedies.
Dinner was at our local with another fabulous meal. The food in Hobart was certainly of a high standard.Leggi altro
