Getting started!

Took train to Bingen. From Rolandseck to Bingen 1h40m. On the way back it will take 5-6 days :-)
1st Day

First segment on the Rheinburgenweg. Not too hot and no rain, pretty good for hiking. And found myself a nice spot for the night. And now it's dinner tiiiiime! :-)
Coffee break

10k done, time for a coffee break. Burg Stahleck, now a youth hostel, is just the prefect sport for this.
Nice encounter

Pretty tough day, with about 1500 vertical meters over 43km. Some steep climbs. Several castles, as expected, and a very nice surprise encounter.
Hiding from the rain

The day was mostly good. Foggy when I woke up, a bit of rain, then even sunshine. Some nice single tails in between, some cherry trees along the way, more castles, beautiful villages.

More Mosel than Rhine

After a rainy night and morning I was off to a late start. Approaching Koblenz the Rheinburgenweg turns into the Mosel valley, where it runs jointly with the Moselhochweg and the Moselsteig for aLeia mais

The path was for the most day far, far away from the Rhine. I wonder why this is part of the Rheinburgenweg.
The most interesting segment was going through an old stone quarry, where already theLeia mais
Am Rolandsbogen

And done! I arrived at the Rolandsbogen, the end point of the #Rheinburgenweg. Today was easier than the previous days, ad it didn't have the steep ups and downs.
