    This place on earth is breathtaking, so many extremes and mysteries, contrast of colors, patterns and geological variety!
    It’s the hottest place on earth and also the lowest elevation in North America with 86m below sea level.

    Our day ended at Zabriskie Point with a stunning view over the golden Golden Canyon and the full valley while watching the sunset.
    Leaving Death Valley behind us we saw a mystery flashing light at the sky. Wondering if it is an ufo, northern lights, crazy american disco light or just a comet?
    At the end it was spaceX Falcon 9. 🚀

    We ticked all boxes: room with a view overseeing the strip, cocktail at the pool, burgers & beer, Thunder from Down Under show, Bellagio fountain show, gambling at Bellagio Casino and drunken way home!

    An impressive place with the red sandstone formations and the contrast of blue sky.
    Dinner was served in Peggy Sue‘s Diner, a typical american truckstop from the 50s, we found by accident on our way.Read more

    Named as one of the most beautiful middle-sized cities in California, Santa Barbara is worth a visit with spanish influence everywhere.
    After this stop we drove to the countryside, famous for the wineries! ...you can imagine how the evening ends having in mind we got a special pass from our hotel for free or 2for1 tastings 🤷🏽‍♀️🍷Read more

    Feels we’ve ended up in Danemark but Solvang was once built by danish immigrants, this is why you can find danish pasteries, wind mills and untypical american buildings.
    The area is famous for wine, maybe you remember our last evening 🙈
    Likewise cute was Los Olivos, wineries everywhere.
    On our way to San Luis Obispo (SLO) we stopped for a coffee at Pismo Beach.
    SLO is known as city with the happiest people in California. Every Thursday there is a farmers market with delicious and local food! Today the local fire department presenting themselves, the equipment and we could even hopp into a car! 😂

    We started the day in Morro Bay, walking down the pier with a coffee in our hand, hiked the black hill to overseeing the bay and the Morror Rock and had various chats with locals!
    All of them recommended „sea chest“ in Cambria as one of the best fish restaurants!
    So we decided to give it a try, knowing they take no reservations and we have to queue at least one hour before opening 5:30pm. Last convincing point was that we were allowed to drink wine while waiting 💁🏽‍♀️
    We got a stunning table to watch the sunset while eating the best calamari steak ever!!!

    Our last stop was on the Monterey peninsula with the white sand beach Carmel by the sea!
    Everything is more expensive here because so many celebrities loving this place, but it’s stands for a reason!
    If you will be there at some day go to „first awakenings“ for breakfast, good prices for big portions and a wide choice you can’t decide!

    Now off to 🌁
    Almost 3000km again on the road, but happy and blessed that I saw the diversity of California!
    THe Nationalparks, all so different, the cities, especially crazy Las Vegas and last but not least the impressive coastline /highway #1!

    We rented bikes to explore the city, essentially the Golden Gate Bridge!
    As you know SF has a lots of ups and downs, so we walked to the Fishermans Wharf where we got our bikes. From there it is an easy 10miles ride over the bridge an back.
    We also passed Lombard Street, Palace of Fine Arts and cruised around Presidio.

    We strolled through the up’s and down‘s of the city, relaxed in the sun at Dolores Park with a beautiful view over SF, shopped (not really 🤞) and explored: Mission District, Haight Ashbury and Castro, all by foot!

    We had an amazing weekend at the Mason Lake, where we enjoyed the life directly on the lakeside with a hot tub, boats, friends, beer & wine, bbq, hiking and yoga!
    I love the quiet, sitting on the jetty in the morning, seeing the sun rising, fresh coffee in your hands... than life is good!
    I also gave my first yoga lesson, not that I’m a approved teacher now! 🙈 but a friend asked me to do this and so I said yes. We had a lot of fun and I think they all liked it, at least the Savasana on the floating jetty!

    Seattle surprised me with a stunning sunset at the pier on my way to the aquarium :)

    I bought the Seattle City Pass,
    80€ for 5 (more or less) things to do here!

    Museum of Pop Culture (!) ,Glass Garden, Zoo and Science Museum

    I sleep in a hostel, female dorm, but it’s wired 🤷🏽‍♀️

    I also visited the Museum of Pop Culture, really really nice! if you are interested in music or movies, go there!10 different exhibitions, 3 about music: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Jimi Hendrix ...
    On the third floor is the soundlab located, a place where you can play all kind of instruments, you have studios to learn instruments and create songs, jam-ing, dj-ing and singing! You can spend hours there..
    And also the building is impressive!

    Can’t believe having sunshine again in Seattle in November!
    With my Seattle CityPass I had access to the space needle again, hoped to see Mt. Rainer but it was to cloudy!
    I‘ve visited Chulias Glass Garden and joined a harbour cruise!
    The rest of the day I strolled around, exploring Pike Market Place (& the famous GumWall).

    If you ever go to Seattle, stop at the public library!

    You can visit the building, read, use the internet, drink coffee, take pictures, watch people,go to the bathrooms (there is one special one - find out by yourself) and strolling around ... great place and open for everyone !
    That makes It even more special because the homeless are also there, for reading, charging and warming.
    Education for everyone!!! ✌🏻
