Whale Watching

What a day!

First day of the school holidays and we had an amazing pink sunrise, whales galore, caught some delicious snapper, date afternoon and finished off with dinner and a bonfire with the kids at a friend’s house!

If I don’t do anything else’s these holidays, I think I will be completely satisfied, as today ticked all the boxes.

The new lens got a work out and after a few setting changes the pictures we were capture were epic.

Last year, the whales were not as playful and I got lots of tail shots. This year, I wanted some head shots and the whales did not let me down.Læs mere

What a whopper ! 10.6 pounds of pure squishiness 😍! That is 4.7kg of baby boy to love and hug, which I couldn’t wait to do, so I ducked up to the hospital as soon as I could.

Early Bike Ride & Island Camp Out

Our Motorbike riding weekend away was cancelled because the complex was closed for the weekend, but it worked out because it was very hot and better spent near the coast riding and camping.
We rode up Ourimbah State Forest early, then Lauren and I had a swim down the beach. We enjoyed fish and chips in the park before we took the kids and the boats out to camp on the island.
It was a beautiful day and we definitely made the most of it 😎Læs mere

Island Camp and Crystal Waters

We all really enjoyed the island camp, especially Jett, he didn’t stop swimming and was hilarious to watch jumping over the anchor rope.
It was so hot so we packed up and spent the day down near the channel swimming and the kids playing. Bull and Nadia met us and we all swam and hung out for a couple of hours. It was very enjoyable 😊Læs mere

Itchy Balls

Poor Jetty Boo Boo!

After his very fun, very busy weekend, we all just thought Jett was tired and recovering from his adventures! But after work on Monday, when Jett had spent the whole day sleeping and did not sit next to us drooling at dinner time, we realised something was not right.

After a late night visit to the vet, we discovered he had a nasty infection in his skin and around his balls!

Some drugs for the pain, antibiotics for the infection, prednisone for the itching and a cone for his head we were ready to go back home.

Unfortunately, the pain meds wore off about 2.30am and Jett spent the rest of the night crying 😢.

Jett is visiting nanny and poppy during the day to make sure his big cone head does not get stuck anywhere.

And one thing I never thought I would have to do, is give my dog’s balls a sponge bath!Læs mere

A beautiful Wedding ceremony at Glennworth Valley look out, followed by a very fun reception.

Our travel buddies from our 1st lap around Oz! They spent the year as bunk buddies in single beds, high fiving before they went to sleep each night. Now they have graduated to shared bed 🤣.Læs mere

Lachlan whore me down and found a fix me up bargain that he could actually afford.
After cutting the battery apart we diagnosed it as a damaged BMS which was preventing the battery from charging. $800 for the Conny, $79 for a replacement BMS, hours of dad’s and uncle Shauns time……..
But! The amount of thank you’s and “love you dad”, I received were priceless 😊
Plus he saved himself $1,000

The Storm ⛈️

We had a beautiful sunny afternoon drinking Prosecco, eating nibbly’s and swimming in the crystal clear waters around the sand islands.
Then, something amazing happened! We watched the massive storm as it rolled in from different directions. The clouds were mesmerising with so many different colours and the lightning show was incredible. As we sailed (under power) to dinner, we stopped in the middle of the lake to just admire the skies.
When we neared Trinity the storm hit us hard. For 10 minutes we endured Gale force winds, torrential rain with hail, terrifying lightning, waves and almost zero visibility.
However, as the storm cleared, the sun shone and we were greeted by the most beautiful rainbow. This was a tremendous adventure and made my birthday dinner so much more memorable 😊Læs mere

After the extremely intense storm, it was such a relief to be tied up and heading into dinner. We had a lovely evening and slept in the marina just to be safe.

6 teenage boys in a tent! What could go wrong?

Well thankfully, nothing, just a fun filled weekend of tubing, skiing, kneeboarding and eating a whole lot of junk food.

Braxy purchased some stylish pink sunnies for all the lads, which they sported most of the weekend.

Early Saturday morning, 3.30am, a massive wind storm rolled in. I woke up to screaming from for the boys tent. I thought some of the kids were crying and screaming to get out, but once I got up there I realised it was just all of them being silly 🙄.
