The Storm ⛈️

We had a beautiful sunny afternoon drinking Prosecco, eating nibbly’s and swimming in the crystal clear waters around the sand islands.
Then, something amazing happened! We watched the massive storm as it rolled in from different directions. The clouds were mesmerising with so many different colours and the lightning show was incredible. As we sailed (under power) to dinner, we stopped in the middle of the lake to just admire the skies.
When we neared Trinity the storm hit us hard. For 10 minutes we endured Gale force winds, torrential rain with hail, terrifying lightning, waves and almost zero visibility.
However, as the storm cleared, the sun shone and we were greeted by the most beautiful rainbow. This was a tremendous adventure and made my birthday dinner so much more memorable 😊Read more
