Underway, some fine tuning

Picked up our new camper, and practiced setting up at the Colton's in Brisbane.
Battery on Cruiser died overnight, replaced by the dealer, then off to Boolimba Falls for our first off grid night!

Went down this road to 9 Mile Beach, couldn't turn around and ended up doing 30+ KMs each way over sand dunes and hills. Had to deflate tyres to 12 psi, towing a 2.5 tonne camper. Locals didn't believe we made it without getting stuckRead more

Opened the user manual to our new house on wheels. Puttîng up the awning for the first time only resulted in minor marital disagreement! We now have spacious ́alfresco livîng room!

Turns out only mad dogs and kiwis fossick for gems in the summer. We left plenty for the commerical operators.

Camels can’t be relied upon. Ships of the desert and all that,.. I asked them to stay so I could take a photo 10 mînutes later, but they’ve buggered off. Wéve purchased Julie a green sapphire ring from a gem dealer/ manufacturîng jeweller in the town of Sapphire whilst we wait for the Camels to come back.Read more

They don’t have pubs lîke this in NZ anymore. Passed through Roma ( not Rome😪). The number one attraction is a large tree. Staying at the Regal Hotel.

The other thîng in Roma is cattle. Stockyards are bighest in OZ. They were closed when we passed through.Read more

Under a solid roof for a night, laundry stop and bath to remove two weeks on the road wearing jandels - camp showers just don't cut it when trying to soak off red dust!
