Wrestled with the full annex setup for 1/2 an hour - Little Bruce our camper trailer now morphed into a palatial four room palace! See Kitchen/dining/lounge, ensuite shower, club lounge, and bedroom!

Spent the day beaching. Emerald Beach and Sandy Beach, then an afternoon of floating in tidal estuary on pink inflatable sofa chairs ( sorry no picks, but think flamingos and cocktail glasses and you get the vibe ). J has picked up a paint brush again after a hiatus of 30 years, no masterpieces yet, but great for work detox!Read more

Night time bird show

Loving the birdlife here - so many sounds, sizes, and colours, background of any day is always filled with birdsong. Last night discovered that our camp is on the flight path of the local Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo's . These guys rule the roost, sent every other bird scuttling for cover.

Woogoolga Beach, Safety Beach, Mullaway, Arrawara, Corrigin Beach. Each beach a little bit different, awesome surf golden sand, bums, boobs and bikinis.Read more

Last night in the camper before we head home to NZ for Christmas. Went to Byron Bay, didn't stop. Clarence River along the way was interesting, super cool little town of Ulmarra where a whole heap of bats hang out, and cafes are closed on a Monday.Read more

Different camping experience from what we've done so far - full on campground with onsite micro-brewery and bar in the middle of a national park! Needed the beer after a big unpack and and camp setup. Great base for some exploring tomorrow.Read more

Video upload to follow of the raucous birds. Camp rules clearly state no loud noise between 10pm and 6am - the Kokaburra's and other wildlife missed the memo!!! As soon as I went to video them,...nothing. Privacy rules huh!Read more

Missing the N S & W too much so blasted down to the pretty little rural town of Tylgum just south of the QLD/NSW border. Majestic mountains all around us. Local A&P showgrounds a great spot to recharge the batteries ( both human and camper trailer).Read more

Not quite the big olde Texas of the US of A. Certainly remote, BIG, HOT, and a long way from anywhere, straddles the QLD/NSW boarder, south-western QLD - heading into the little outback to take a look at inland NSW.

Do the dishes, Cup of tea, light the citronella candles, read a book by the last of the natural light, watch the colours of the sunset form, wait for the birds and that bats to setout or head home to roost for the night.

Is it going to land?

Not a sight you see everyday. In rural service town of Moree, what to do?? Head to the local mineral HOT pools to get some relief from the heat. Hot pool is 40° cool one is 30° - the differential feels great.
