Going Down Under

Last day of our epic trip & feeling a little sad but looking forward to seeing all the family at home, and all good things have to pause for a while so that you can appreciate what you have, where you’ve been and where you’re going.
Fatboys breakfast to last us until our flight at 11.30pm .. late check out which was very helpful, and fee pool pass for the rest of the day. Sun has come out so enjoying the last few rays. Have booked a shower room to freshen up before we head to the airport & hopefully exploring Singapore 🇸🇬 airport which is a destination place in itself.
Gives us time to reflect on such fantastic trip we have just finished, can’t believe the 60 days have gone by.. after all the planning we did. We feel very blessed to have made this happen & very lucky to have seen so much. We have been touched by the generosity of friends, family and people we have encountered along the way. We have had no negative experiences in all the distances we have travelled. Everyone has been helpful and wanting to share their country with us.
I don’t think I appreciated the distance and how far NZ & Australia are. It’s only when you’re there do you realise that you are the other side of the world 🌍. Seems daft to say that but I’ve never travelled this far south of the equator.
Highlights ..crossing the Cook straight, Napier, Marlborough wine region, Wellington & staying with Teresa.
Oz , 12 Apostles, Adelaide, flying over the red desert to Alice Springs, the drive to Uluru, Uluru, driving round Goulburn with Craig and Suzi living life as a true Aussie 🤣
Sydney opera house & bridge, sharing it with Jack & Paige, family Christmas in Brisbane, flying over the heart reef in the GBR , Stradbroke island.
Singapore, swimming in the infinity pool at the top of Marina Bay Sands.
To be honest everyday was so great, but what made the whole trip so very special was sharing it all with the person you love. ❤️ Czytaj więcej
