The Persephone Nature Trail

Our reason for visiting the village of Troodos was to walk the Persephone Nature trail. Which laid out the whole of southern Cyprus in front of us, although under a thin haze.

The lovely Persephone was originally revered by the Greeks as the goddess of fertility. Hades, the ruler of the underworld, made her his wife and without more ado, abducted her in his golden coach taking her into his dark kingdom. Czytaj więcej
