The village of TroodosMarch 4, 2018 in Cyprus ⋅ ⛅ 10 °C
Today we had a change of scenery and set off to explore the Troodos mountains. We set our sights on the village of Troodos which is 1,676 metres (5,500 ft) above sea level. Taking the B8 we wound our way up the mountain, sometimes struggling in our little car to get up the steep inclines, and after 2 hours driving we finally arrived at the village. It was busy with local families enjoying their Sunday afternoon.
The highest mountain on Cyprus is Mt Olympos at 1,952 metres (6,404 ft) some 600 metres higher than Ben Nevis the highest mountain in the UK.Read more
