Early morning start

We were up at 2:30 this morning to get to Manchester Airport for 6 am. It was an early start but at least we didn't get held up by the M5 & M6 roadworks.

Having cued for an hour and half to get through customs, baggage collection and security we are finally airside waiting for our connecting flight to Boston.
Having spent 20 hours traveling we have finally arrived in Boston, tired and hungry but glad to finally be here.

On our way to Cap Cod we stopped off at Plymonth, which is where the first New England colony was founded as symbolised by the Plymonth Rock. This was where the pilgrims start there new lives inWeiterlesen
Another stop on the way to Cap Cod was Sandwich which is famous for glass making. We saw a demonstration of glass blowing and we as looking around the pretty little town.
Nice to finally get some sand between our toes at Cape Cod. The weather was bright and warm so a lovely day to visit.

On the way back from Cap Cod we dropped into Chatham. Halloween is very big in the US and the churches collect and bless pumpkins which are then available for anyone to just pickup and take home.
