First TukTuk Journey: Negombo to Bentota

After a nerve-racking 100km approx. 5 hour TukTuk journey we finally arrived in the beautiful beach town Bentota.

As expected the traffic in Colombo was crazy so we mutually decided that the more competent driver of us should take on the challenge.

Key traffic rules on SriLanken roads:
- the biggest vehicle goes first.
- lanes are for sharing, the more the merrier
- zebra crossing are for road decoration only.
When in doubt, beep as loud as you possibly can (our horn broke within the first hour).

Anyway, the journey was definitely worth it and we ended up spending the afternoon/ evening at the beach and got to enjoy a beautiful sunset.
