Day 5: Hot air balloon and Pyramids

    I går, Mexico ⋅ 🌙 61 °F

It was an early morning start with pick up at 4:30 as we needed to be at the Sky Balloon place to check in at 5:45. As soon as we got there it was like clock work. Checkin and sign, photo shoot pre-ride and then the balloons are inflated and ready. We board and are up in the air for about an hour. Upon landing the pilot navigator popped open a champagne and gave us all a flute with drink. We picked up the whole set of photos and videos as it was priceless.
After the ride, we were taken to a cave for breakfast. We had the famous chilequiles with eggs.
After this we went to the Saumya museum.

We attended the wedding brunch to bid our goodbyes to family and friends. Our local tour guide helped us to relocate to our new hotel in Centro Historico. We rested some and then went to dinner at a restaurant recommended by Trisha, named Ling Ling. The views from the 56th floor of this amazing fusion restaurant was stellar. Given an early morning start the next day at 4:30 am, we called it a night early.Læs mere

  • Day 2: Haldi and Mehndi

    25. april, Mexico ⋅ ☀️ 68 °F

Proposed plan is: A daytime celebration at Parque Quetzal Coatl starting off with Haldi ceremony and then flow into Lunch, Mehndi with a colorful street festival and time to explore the park with golf carts included.
I had a full Haldi Mehndi traditional outfit but based on description of today’s events and bride’s coaching have pivoted to slacks, linen shirt and a Nehru jacket with casual shoes. Let’s see if I am aligned or out of step.
Update and I went to the lobby and all were dressed in traditional outfits. I was scammed, rushed back and changed into traditional Indian outfit. The Parque setting is amazing and the Piti, Haldi and soon to follow Mehndi is all tracking.
