Preparation Phase

Only 2 weeks till we leave. I'm hyping myself up by finalizing all the details. I can't wait to take off.
We Love Loves

Our first official stop is a loves somwhere 70 miles east of Dallas. We didn't have to stop for gas but I was getting pretty tired so we decided to switch out. Only 7.5 hours to Amarillo texas!
In a sea of windmills and farm land

After driving all night long, we've arrived in windmill land Texas lol. They're huge!
In the middle of nowhere, but...

You thought this was the middle of nowhere, ha, think again. We found the weirdest little coffee shop right off the highway. They made a pretty sweet Arnold Palmer though
Big Texan

We finally made it!
First campsite

Our first campsite was a 40 min drive away from the main road. We passed acres upon acres of farm land. It was nice to see cows graze across such a huge amount of land. Our campsite was in the middleRead more
Picture Canyon

Posting a day later because there was no signal at the campground. This place was awesome. Hot during the day, but once the sun finally set it felt really nice. The gravel road was well paved, and weRead more
Stuck until further notice

Currently stuck in the town of Glenwood Springs. A mudslide washed over I-70 around 2pm and they still haven't cleaned it. The only detour to the south is blocked by a rockslide! We decided to hungerRead more
2nd campsite

Came in around midnight, so there was nothing to be seen but the stars. This morning I woke up to this view
Moms Cafe and Utah

We just had to stop in this cute cafe in Salina, Utah. Utah is much more impressive than I had previously imagined.
Do People Live Here?

I've always wondered if people live in this state. The answer is no. Wonderful Nevada
Yosemite

Wow. This place is totally beautiful. Definitely cannot do everything in one trip. Andie died on the Yosemite falls trail that we did, but a long nap and some coffee seemed to have revived her.Read more
El Capitan and Yosemite Valley

Here are the views of El Cap, and just the views sitting down at a bench. Its crazy to look up and see imposing granite walls all around you.
Native American site

We found genuine native American buildings, including religious ones that are still in use to this day. We passed by and assumed a few people we're breaking the rules by entering the building, butRead more
Mirror Lake

This small trail led to an awesome river/lake. The water was ice cold.but crystal clear. Super awesome! We were able to rock climb onto the huge boulder in the middle and it was deep enough to jumpRead more
Glacier point

This was definitely the most spectacular thing I've ever seen in my life. The view was so thought provoking that I couldn't help but just stare and think. Super awesome
The face of disgust

This is how Rhys feels about the ridiculous gas prices. Almost $5 per gallon , gross...
San Francisco

Out of the blue we decided to visit San Francisco. It's a pretty neat place. We ate some amazing chinese food and visited the SFMoMA.
Thanks San Fran Hobo Society

Whelp. I hope whoever took my duffle bag and clothes finds it all worth it. At least you gave me some practice on how to gorrilla tape a window.
Unexpected Detour

Due to a planning error, we could not stay in Sequoia last night, so we found a free campsite and drove 1 1/2 hours through the dark mountains to get here. We saw a baby Coyote on the drive up but itRead more
Morro Rock

We climbed 332 stairs to see this view. They built the stairs out of the mountain, which I thought was pretty cool.
Big Baldy

This was a 4.4 mile hike roundtrip. It was a very pleasant hike up. The shadows from the trees keeps the area around it cool. It's like a 5 degree difference standing in the shadows or the sun.
Random little adventures

We spent the afternoon exploring the park since there are so many little hikes. We found an overlook covered in stacked stones. It almost looked like a ceremonial witchcraft setup. We also found aRead more
